Depending on the complexity of your case, we will choose one or the other option together with you, and we will estimate the total duration of the treatment. Generally, it is between 18 and 24 months, although in some cases it may be less time, depending on the body’s own response. At the end of the treatment, the orthodontist will give you retainers to keep your smile intact for life. The retainers may be removable, consisting of two splints to be worn at night each day. Or fixed, where we speak of a thin metal foil that is placed on the inner side of the teeth.
