The Invisalign orthodontics has been a great revolution in terms of procedures to correct the position of teeth. It is a barely perceptible prosthesis, which does not bother and fulfills its function perfectly. But do you know how to maintain it? Today we explain how to care for Invisalign braces to get the most out of them.

Tips for Invisalign orthodontic care

Invisalign orthodontics is one of the preferred options for people who wish to have their teeth corrected in the most discreet way. It is becoming increasingly common to see adults undergoing these procedures.

Invisible orthodontics requires very simple care to keep the aligners in optimal conditions.

How to clean Invisalign orthodontics

To wash the Invisalign orthodontic splints, rinse them with plenty of water. They should be rubbed with a soft bristle toothbrush and neutral soap or our own toothpaste can be applied. It is very important to rinse it well after cleaning.

If you need a stronger product to wash the aligners, you should choose a specific product for cleaning splints.

How long do I have to wear Invisalign orthodontic aligners?

Aligners for this type of orthodontics must be worn for 22 hours a day. The entire treatment can last up to 36 months, depending on what needs to be done.

Splints can be changed as treatment progresses or if they deteriorate. Aligners are usually changed every two weeks, so maintenance is fairly easy.

Keeping the splints in good condition is important so that the color of the orthodontics does not change and the treatment remains totally discreet, almost invisible. In addition, a correct care of the aligners prevents the appearance of halitosis and avoids the transfer of bacteria to our mouth.

With proper habits and care we can keep our Invisalign orthodontics in good condition. Do you want more information about this or other dental treatments? Call our IMOI clinics and we will inform you without obligation.
