That digitized image is sent to a computer where with a very advanced program the dental crown is designed on the implants and then sent to the computerized milling unit that creates the crown or dental case from prefabricated blocks.

Using this manufacturing technique allows us to place dental implants and dental crowns on implants in less than an hour.

What materials are dental crowns made of?

Dental crowns or sleeves on implants can be made of two groups of materials:

Metal and ceramic dental crowns. These ceramic crowns have a dental ceramic veneer over a metal prosthesis. The metal from which they are made is usually an alloy or mixture of cobalt, palladium or titanium chromium. Esthetics at the end of the treatment is almost perfect

The dental crowns are completely ceramic. There is no metal in them and they are suitable for both tooth crowns and crowns on dental implants.

At IMOI we use the best ceramic suppliers such as 3 M, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar and Vita. All of them offer various types of ceramics for dental crowns:

In-Cream Spinell: indicated for dental crowns where maximum translucency is required, such as single crowns on anterior teeth. It cannot be used on dark teeth or on top of metals as the dark color of the metal will show through.

In-Cream Alumina: formed by aluminum oxide and can be used in single dental crowns of both anterior and posterior teeth, and fixed prostheses of up to three anterior teeth. We can also use it on dark teeth or on titanium implants without translucency problems.

In-Cream Zirconia: composed of 70% aluminum oxide and 30% zirconium oxide which increases the strength of the material to prevent material fractures. It is indicated for dental crowns from one to three teeth, both on natural teeth and dental implants and on front and back teeth.

What is the warranty on dental crowns and caps?

Our country’s law states that every dental prosthesis must have a 2-year problem guarantee, however at IMOI we offer you most of the time 5 years warranty for crowns on teeth and a program of visiting and maintaining your dental implants and crowns.

In order to better inform you, book a visit in our dental clinics and we will perform a complete study and a CT scan to diagnose possible problems, totally free. See everything we do in the first visits of patients for free.
